All consulations are by appointment only. To make an appointment call at either Ambleside or Grasmere telephone 015394 32693.

We run an appointments system and the doctors undertake to offer a duty doctor surgery on a rota system. URGENT Problems will be seen the same day, but not necessarily by the doctor of your choice.

If your doctor is running behind with his/her appointments, please remember that some people will have more serious problems than others. Should you be unable to wait your Doctor will understand.

Home Visits

If you can get to the surgery please do so.  Home visits in an area such as ours are very time consuming.  Should you require a home visit please try to ring before 10.30am it helps with planning the day’s work.

When requesting a home visit, be prepared to give the clerk some idea of your symptoms in order that the doctor can judge the urgency of the call.

Telephone Advice

If you wish to speak to a doctor without necessarily coming to see him or her, please ring and book a telephone appointment with the doctor.

Test Results

Results of laboratory tests taken in the nursing department, may be obtained by telephoning Ambleside 32693 and selecting option 3. 

This service is available Monday to Friday, 11.00am to 4.00pm.
